Housing Information

WPC 2019 organizers have arranged preferential rates for the Congress. In order to do so, we:

  • Worked hand in hand with a local partner (JTB) to benefit form their local knowledge;
  • Negotiated the best rates and conditions for your stay in a safe and secure environment;
  • Selected hotels located at a reasonable distance from the conference venue,
Room Pirating is a practice carried out by third-party companies that act as travel agencies to solicit attendees and exhibitors for room reservations.
Please be vigilant if approached by any company.
We recommend that all hotel bookings should be done through the official housing provider, JTB

Things to note, before beginning the hotel booking process:

1. In order to book a room through the JTB hotel booking system, they will ask you to register. This is DIFFERENT from the WPC registration. It will create an account in the JTB system, which you need in order to book rooms. This is not connected to the master WPC database.

2. One you decide on your hotel and length of stay, a first night deposit will be taken at the time of the reservation.

3.  Full prepayment of the room is required 2 weeks prior to the first day of the Congress

Group Reservation: If you wish to make a group booking fewer than 15 rooms, work directly in the hotel booking system. If you have a need for a group that is 15 rooms or more, please email our secretariat@worldpdcoalition.org to begin the booking process. Please note that hotels in Kyoto are generally smaller than in other places, so it can be difficult to book large groups. We suggest you make this booking immediately to ensure you get the rooms you require.
