Hotel: $150 per night

We will post information about the official hotel blocks once the information is finalized. We specifically select hotel rooms based on accessibility and ease for people living with Parkinson's. If you do not have any special health needs you may wish to look at other housing options near the convention center. There are hotels that off rates as low as $50 USD per night, but those rooms can be quite small.

Travel to and from the airport in Japan by train:

One-Way Ticket between the airport and Kyoto: $26.00

One-Way Ticket between the airport and Kyoto: $120.00

Other Considerations:

  • Make sure that your passport is up-to-date. If your passport will expire the year of the congress, even if it is after the congress, you should check your country's rules for international travel.
  • Make sure that you have three times the medication you would normally need for the length of your stay. This ensures that you will not be left without should you luggage get lost. It is important to note that Parkinson's medications vary in dosage internationally and you may not be able to get your equivalent dose at a local pharmacy.
  • Travel insurance can help solve a multitude of unforeseen problems. We highly recommend that delegates consider purchasing travel insurance.
  • We recommend that delegates arrive a few days early to adjust to any time differences and to familiarize themselves with the area.
